= android phone with only AOSP ( android open source project )
google phone = AOSP + Google Code ( GAPPS Google apps , bijvb replace AOSP apps bij Google apps )
stock roms = manufactor android = google phone + custom apps or tweaks on Google Code
custom roms = non-google code on top of AOSP , such as LineageOs , GraphenOS , CalyxOS, CopperheadOS , /e/ , e.a.

==> this gives pseudo anonimity :
- no loaction tracking
- no identity
- no contact tracing apps , such a s using BT to ping other BT devices
- no telemetry ( usage reporting)

biggest problem : some banking apps refuse to work on de-googled phones , sometimes ok with MicroG

  • to transfer contacts : use the .vcf file format / export

a degoogled phone must never have

  • GAPS
  • a (required) google account (ID) login
  • no IMEI acces for any app
    but carier will have it nonetheless
    sinds android 10 : EMEI access is now a system permission
    but the carrier has that permission with the cell module in android AOSP
  • no google apps, youtube, fb, gmail ,
    (except google authenicator , which is an opensource app)
  • be extremely carefull with other (non-goole) apps

should (probably) have

- the MicroG module (pseudo Google api) so that the phone can work with populair android apps ( LineageOS weigert om dit te instaleren, maar je kan het zelf doen)
- acces to F-Droid
- Aurore (google spoofer store for google play) : UPDATE , nee toch niet ( ofwel install , install app, uninstall aurore
- APKPure .com

other apps

  • many times browser apps work just fine
  • newpipe , allows to play YT zonder in te loggen => do not use YT on a phone
