Zotero install & config

binaries :

/opt/port-app/Zotero_linux-x86_64/

user cfg :

/home/ward/.zotero/zotero/ profiles.ini
is een beetje de methode zoals bij Thunderbird
hierin het default profile, naar het path dewelke verwezen wordt
Path=gpaet4h3.default

de eigenlijke doc & ref data wordt op 2 plaatsen opgeslagen :
1. in een zotero.sqllite database (waarsch. indexes & metadata)
2. in een folder “storage” (waarsch. de html pages)

Edit > Preferences -> Files and Folders -> Data Directory Location : map to the new location

to move the data dir :
1. stop zotero
2. copy data dir to new location
3. start zotero
4. Edit > Preferences -> Files and Folders -> Data Directory Location : map to the new location
5. delete the original files

this procedure is needed because zotero needs to have the last know dat dir open during startup
(only not the first time)
it you don’t have a it will throw an error , and it will only allow for cretaing a new one

if this is the cas, jsut copy the file back from the new location to the old one and start all over
