What are the benefits of a FIDO2 security key?
A FIDO2 security key is one of the most secure 2FA methods. FIDO2 security keys use cryptography to create a 1:1 relationship between your security key and Kraken.
Phishing sites are unable to replicate this unique cryptographic relationship, which prevents them from tricking your security key into sharing your credentials.

How do you enable FIDO2 on your account?
If you currently use a YubiKey for 2FA, you just need to update your Sign-In 2FA method using the same key you already own. This will take less than 3 minutes.

If you own a hardware wallet from Ledger or Trezor you may also have FIDO2 capabilities built in. Alternatively, you can purchase a FIDO2 security key from a trusted provider such as Yubico or Google.
