What you’ll do
- Together with the developers you will participate in the design, implementation and operations of solutions to enhance our database stack.
- Enhance and automate our database operations.
- Enhance our monitoring & alerting stack of the application databases
- Daily operational tasks (database change management, query fine tuning, troubleshooting, …)
- Provide the tools to developers to become autonomous in their daily data operations

Who you are
- Minimum of 3-5 years of Microsoft SQL Server experience in a HA environment
- Self-starter, autonomous
- Academic or Bachelor level of education or equivalent by experience
- Problem solving attitude

Must have
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.
- Good knowledge of SQL Server in a high availability setup
- Knowledge of PowerShell
- Good knowledge of various GIT flows
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Experience with IP infrastructure (Networking, DNS, …)
- Knowledge of Ruby and Puppet (or strong will to learn)

Nice to have
- Knowledge of DACPAC
- Experience with Redis or Cassandra (or other nosql databases)
- Experience with Cloud solution (AWS)
- Experience with Docker
- Experience with security standards & hardening
- Experience working in a PCI DSS Environment
