improvments Zettlr

buggy

open/ save window dialogs, these freezes frequently
table : insert new column : undo does not work

clumsy

url box appears when your mouse hovers over an link
however

File manager

GO BACK functionality !

go back or bidirectional links

tree

new file >> name gets selected/highlighted

⇒ option to exlude the extention .md in selection

expand /collaps all

without retaining what nodes were expanded /collapsed at that point
idem for headers blocks in the text.

The hierarchy is not always clear :
  • allow the use of color for different directories
  • empty directories should also have a status sign assigned , perhaps a “O” or “_” for empty dir
    ( cfr. collapsed : > and expanded : V )
    I don’t mind “V” as well
  • use a colored icon for the file icon , it would greatly improve clarity
These might be regulated with user preference settings.
the sort order is sometimes a PITA

I supose this would be the responsability of linux ? ( >> see language settings )
but could perhaps be ovverriden using Zettler

New functionality

right click on file (in tree or on tab title) :

→ “open in editor ” (to be set in preferrences)
→ “open file manager here (idem)

switch (“button”) between WYSIWYM & WYSIWYG

allow hiding the Markdown source
either via a “switch” menu option or via a seperate pane (like many markdown editors do, with good reason)
Such is already be done with functionality like the Table Editor

attachment preview in a seperate side panel

A nice to have, no need to click attachment to open would be wonderful.
