the idea that anyone in 2020 isn’t proficient enough with the select tool to be able handle having the option to take the training wheels off is just absurd.
I do not want my cursor to move to the beginning of my highlight to the start of a word/sentence/paragraph when I use it and I want it to stop moving to the end of a word+the space after the word automatically, because I always have to shake the cursor left/right/left/right to fix it and that’s just the most nonsense way of getting a precise highlight that I could think of.

In word heet dit “Smart Select” , met een optie om het af te zetten (File | Options | Advanced: Editing options)
